Start with the information that affects the sample
The sample is not only a visual mockup. It tests fabric, fit, construction, trims, labels and what needs to be approved before bulk.
Useful inputs include reference photos, a physical sample if available, size chart, measurement points, fabric or GSM target, artwork files, packaging notes and delivery country.
Separate confirmed details from open decisions
If composition, GSM or packaging is not final, say so. A production partner can review sourcing options more honestly when open items are named instead of hidden.
This prevents the first quote from becoming a guess that needs to be rewritten after fabric or labeling changes.
